Frequently asked questions.
WADI SERVICE & PRICING
Q: What’s the difference between a consultation and a service call?
A consultation is typically a walk-through or planning session for larger projects, estimates, or bundles — and is often free if a package is booked. A service call involves sending a licensed technician to diagnose or repair an issue and includes labor, tools, and possible troubleshooting. Our service call minimum is $199
Q: Do you offer free estimates?
Yes — we offer free estimates for pre-defined projects, bundles, and consultations. However, if your project requires diagnostics or hands-on troubleshooting (e.g. a circuit isn’t working), a diagnostic fee of $149 applies.
Q: What do your whole-home upgrade packages include?
Our Essential, Enhanced, and Elite electrical packages include full code-compliant installations, patching, painting, cleanup, and permitting — all bundled for convenience and value.
Q: Can I bundle services and save?
Absolutely. Our “Pick 3, Save 15%” promotion lets you bundle lighting, fans, outlets, and more. Bundled jobs are priced more competitively and scheduled more efficiently.
ELECTRICAL BASICS
Q: Why does my breaker keep tripping?
This usually means the circuit is overloaded, shorted, or has a ground fault. We recommend a diagnostic visit to pinpoint the issue before replacing anything.
Q: Do I need a permit for electrical work?
Yes, for most major electrical work (especially service upgrades, panel work, or new circuits), permits are required by law. Our packages include full permitting and inspection coordination.
Q: How much does it cost to add a new outlet, light, or fan?
It depends on access, wiring, and the type of fixture. Prices typically range from $149 to $499 per item. Bundled pricing is available for larger jobs.
Q: Can I install a Tesla or EV charger without upgrading my panel?
Possibly. We check your panel’s capacity during a consultation. If it can’t handle the added load, we’ll provide a quote for a safe, code-compliant upgrade
